On January 18, United Airlines launched its new route from its hub in Houston (IAH) to Sydney (SYD). And this flight becomes the 2^nd longest routes of united airlines and the longest flight currently being flown to/from the U.S.

This route flight beats out the flight of Qantas that flies from Dallas (DFW) to Sydney with a distance of 18 miles. The departure segment is of 17 hours, 30 minutes, while the return is 15 hours, 40 minutes. United is using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to cover the distance.

They are ranked according to time blocked out for the flight in the schedules of airlines.
