Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1: ZURICH

 

Upon arriving at the airport, we will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. Check the information boards in the hotel reception area for details of the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travelers.

Day 2

Day 2: ZURICH – BERNE – FRIBOURG – NYON – YVOIRE – GENEVA 

 

We’ll start in Bern, one of Switzerland’s most historic cities, visiting the Garden of Roses for stunning city views. After free time for lunch, we’ll head to Fribourg, a bilingual city, then continue towards Lake Geneva, stopping in Nyon, a charming Roman town. We’ll take a boat to Yvoire, a medieval village with fortified gates, a castle, and beautiful lake views, before arriving in Geneva by evening. Accommodation will be in the French area of the city.

Day 3

Day 3: GENEVA – CHILLON CASTLE – GRUYERES – LEYSIN

After breakfast, enjoy a city tour of Geneva, located by Lake Leman. Visit the Palais des Nations (UN headquarters), the English Garden with its flower clock, and the “Jet d’Eau” fountain. Continue through vineyard landscapes to CHILLON CASTLE, where entry is included. Next, visit GRUYERES, famous for its cheese, and the nearby Cailler chocolate factory for a tasting. Travel through scenic mountain villages before arriving in LEYSIN for the evening, with dinner included. (Accommodation may occasionally be in a nearby city like Matigny.)

Day 4

Day 4: LEYSIN – INTERLAKEN – AARESCHLUCHT – CHIASSO

 

Today’s stage offers stunning mountain scenery. Don’t forget your winter clothes as we climb to GLACIER 3000, where you can walk on the suspended bridge, explore the Ice Cathedral, or have fun at the Fun Park. After a lunch stop in Interlaken, we visit the Aareschlucht Gorges and drive through the scenic Sustenpass to reach Italian-speaking Switzerland. Overnight in Chiasso, a Swiss town on the Italy border. Note: Weather conditions may affect the cable car to Glacier 3000, and the Sustenpass is closed from mid-October to late May, in which case alternative routes will be used.

Day 5

Day 5: CHIASSO – LUGANO – BURGLEN – LUCERNE

 

 

We’ll visit Lugano, the cosmopolitan capital of Italian Switzerland, with its stunning lake. After a stroll, we’ll cross St. Gotthard Pass and stop in Burglen, the birthplace of William Tell, to see the 16th-century chapel with paintings of his life. You can also visit the William Tell museum. In nearby Altdorf, you’ll find more of his history. Finally, we’ll head to Lucerne for free time to explore this beautiful lakeside city. Optionally, take a cruise on Lake of the Four Cantons, one of Switzerland’s most scenic lakes.

Day 6

Day 6: LUCERNE – EINSIEDELN – VADUZ – FELDKIRCH

 

 

We depart Lucerne, driving along Lake Four Cantons to Einsiedeln, home to Switzerland’s most important pilgrimage site, its grand baroque abbey. Next, we head to Maienfeld, the village that inspired Heidi’s story. In Heididorf, we’ll visit Heidi’s House (entry free, ticket not included), set amidst stunning landscapes. We then enter Liechtenstein, exploring its capital, Vaduz, with its impressive castle, before heading to Feldkirch, Austria, a charming walled city with a historic center and castle. Enjoy some free time before returning.

Day 7

Day 6: FELDKIRCH – ST. GALLEN – CONSTANCE – STEIN AM RHEIN – RHINE FALLS – ZURICH 

 

 

We begin the day in St. Gallen, home to a UNESCO-listed cathedral and historic center. Next, we visit Lake Constance, straddling Germany and Switzerland, with free time to explore Constance. We’ll then head to Mainau Island, known for its stunning botanical garden (entry included), followed by a visit to Stein am Rhein, a charming village on the Rhine River. Finally, we’ll visit the Rhine Waterfalls (entry included) before arriving in Zurich by evening.

Day 8

Day 6: BACK to ZURICH 

 

 

After breakfast, end of our services.
