Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Cochin, Drive to Munnar

 

Upon arrival at Cochin airport/railway station, our executive will welcome you. You’ll then drive to Munnar, about 4 hours away. As you ascend the hills, enjoy the changing scenery and crisp air. Upon arrival, check into your resort. In the evening, visit the Tea Museum to learn about the tea-making process. You can also explore Munnar town for spices and handmade chocolates. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 2:

 

 

After breakfast we take you on a full day sightseeing trip of Munnar, the tea town of Kerala. The sprawling tea gardens are sure to take your breath away. We visit the Eravikulam National Park to get a glimpse of the Nilagiri Thar. The soft trek up the hill in the middle of the park will be worth your while. We then proceed to visit Mattuppetty Dam, Eco Point, Kundala Lake, Blossom Garden, Pothenmedu View point and Top station. Overnight at the resort.

Day 3: Munnar to Thekkady

The next morning, drive to Thekkady (110 km / 4 hrs), passing through cardamom hills and scenic waterfalls. After checking into the resort and having lunch, enjoy a 2-hour boat ride on the Periyar Lake and Dam, where you might spot elephants, deer, and rare birds. The forest department also offers activities like the Periyar tiger trail, nature walks, and bamboo rafting. Overnight stay at Thekkady resort.

Day 4: Thekkady to Alleppey

 

After breakfast, we head to Alleppey, a 5-hour drive (160 km). Known as the Venice of the East, Alleppey greets you with its serene backwaters and delicious cuisine. Board your houseboat around 1 pm and relax as it cruises through the narrow canals of Vembanad Lake. Enjoy scenic views of lagoons, villages, and coconut groves. The houseboat will anchor by 6 pm for an overnight stay, offering a peaceful experience under the stars and calm waters.

Day 5: Departure from Cochin

 

The houseboat will start cruising again at 8 am and drop you at Alleppey jetty at 9 am. You will then proceed to Cochin. You will say good bye to Kerala, but we promise, you will do so with a heavy heart and with a promise to return back soon.
